St. James Parish, Kansas, Ohio

The St James Choral Group completed the 23nd year of presenting His Last Days on Good Friday in 2011.  There have been 142 participants since 1989.

The group has done 190 performances in 69 different cities/towns for more than 39,500 people.  The group has logged over 9729 miles all over Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan (including 20 nautical miles going to Put In Bay twice). 

The group presented their 150th performance on Good Friday in 2005 at St. James, just a short time before beginning a 24/7 prayer vigil to save the parish from closure.

The funding for the group has come from the generous free will offerings of audience members.  Donations that exceed expenses are donated to local charities and families in need.  This year a portion of the proceeds will go to an effort to help build schools in Haiti.
